On Saturday Hardin County Sheriff officers Woltz and Carey assisted in saving an injured bald eagle.

The photo of the bird shows that it is injured and lying in what appears to be branches or a downed tree.

The bird was taken to Crows Hollow Wildlife Center sanctuary in Richwood.

The wildlife center spokesperson says that not only did the officers help rescue the eagle, but it was apparent they “have great compassion for animals.”
