If you don’t feel comfortable sending your child to school and have the resources to keep them home, keep them home. We just want what is best for the majority of the community.

Thank you very much for allowing our group to express our concerns, there have been many false premises regarding our petition. "Unmasked" is a group
of concerned, like-minded parents, that have pulled our resources together to
fight for the rights of our children.
Summer is a great time to explore the art spread across the Ada community – especially for viewers unable to visit art galleries elsewhere in Ohio.
As a weekly series, The Icon will feature the art located on The Remington Walk on the Ohio Northern University campus. For some viewers, this series is familiar. For others, it may be a first-time experience.
Either way, it’s an opportunity to take a walk and view some art that is uniquely Ada. The Walk is spread through campus and may be viewed by following the ONU walking path, beginning near Affinity Village, west of The Freed Center.
Benjamin Bowers was among 574 graduates awarded degrees by Denison University President Adam Weinberg at a virtual conferral of degrees event held on Saturday, May 16.
Bowers, a resident of Ada, was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, with a major in geoscience with a concentration in narrative journalism.

JUST MERCY tells the story of civil rights defense attorney Bryan Stevenson (MICHAEL B. JORDAN), who travels to Alabama fresh out of law school to defend a number of prisoners on death row. His most notable client Walter McMillian (JAMIE FOXX), who is on death row for a murder he did not commit.
Stevenson’s investigation and defense of McMillian uncovers and exposes the corruption and racism that runs rampant through Monroe County’s justice system.
Ada’s oldest and longest-running festival, Farmers and Merchants Picnic will take this year off. The parade and other parts of the picnic are also canceled.
It’s another local victim of the covid-19 virus.
Instead, the Farmers and Merchants planning committee will hold a raffle with at least four major prizes, according to Eva Wolke. Those prizes range from a smoker grill and Keystone Meats gift card to a Kahili trip, a television and a firepit.
Complete details on the raffle will be on the Ada Icon next week as will ticket prices and locations where tickets are available.
Kenton Hardin Health Department Immunization Clinic Information
Kenton Hardin Health Department is now offering Iimmunization clinics on-site at 175 E. Franklin St., with an appointment required on Thursdays from 9-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. To make an appointment (419) 673- 6230.
Kenton Hardin Health Department will not offer outreach clinics in the community until further notice.
The following guidelines are enforced:
* All immunization clinic visitors are required to wear a face covering if over 2 years of age when entering the building, during the appointment until they exit the building after appointment.
