Addressing negative and unjust information

Letter to the Editor -
To the residents of Ada and Liberty Township

By Thomas Miller
Chief, Ada/Liberty EMS

I would like to share some information to dispel the negative and unjust information that seems to be floating around Facebook and the community.

Ada/Liberty EMS is a volunteer emergency medical crew consisting of 14 skilled medical providers of various levels. We are the second busiest EMS department in Hardin County next to BKP on 911 calls with about 600 runs a year, or about 50 calls a month. Our 14 members cover the majority of these runs all hours of the day and night.

It was magic. Ken Collins captured some of the tricks performed by Magic Nate. His show was one of the Ada Public Library's summer events, held at First United Methodist Church. Several photos follow:

ONU junior  third basemen Luke Klinehoffer (Zanesville/John Glenn) has been named Second Team All-Mideast Region by D3Baseball.com for the 2018 season.

The junior standout earned his first career All-Region honor by D3Baseball.com. He was also named Third Team All-Mideast Region by ABCA/Rawlings.

Klinehoffer became ONU's single-season hits record holder on his way to gaining his first career D3Baseball.com All-Region honor.

Great way to open the season

VAN WERT - The Ada Alligator swim team kicked off its summer campaign with a boys and girls dual meet victory at Van Wert Monday night.

The Gator boys defeated VW 180-129, while the Ada girls defeated the Marlins by a 166-122 count.

The Alligators are slated to host Bluffton Thursday, June 14 at the Ada pool at 6 p.m.

ONU senior Kirsten Lightel (Tallmadge) capped her career in style as she was named an Honorable Mention All-American by Fastpitch News, earning her first career All-American honor in her 4-year career.

Lightel is now a four-time All-Region honoree, a four-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference award winner and an All-American.

She is ONU's all-time career leader with 512 strikeouts and a 1.45 ERA and her 66 victories tied the ONU career mark.
