Main Street Live - where every event is live - opens in downtown Ada
Ada residents in search of big city entertainment now need to look no further than Main Street Ada.
Reggie Keller of Ada opened Main Street Live at 115 S. Main St., earlier this month. If all goes as planned the new business will feature lots of music and stand-up comedy events at very affordable prices.
“Main Street Live will provide music and comedy shows and also is available for corporate events,” said Keller, owner. “If a business wants to hold a meeting in Ada they can do it here. In addition, bookings are available for individuals or bands interested in performing.”
Keller has teamed up with Jeanne Previte of Ada, owner of Jeanne’s Kitchen in Bluffton. Jeanne’s will cater many of the programs. The food provided is part of the cover charge.
The inaugural comedy show was Feb. 13 with Comedy Central’s Dave Landau.
Here’s the schedule of comedy events for the rest of the month:

• Friday, Feb. 21 – One Mic Night, 8 p.m. to midnight, no admission charge
• Thursday, Feb. 27 – The Wise Gals of Comedy, 8 p.m.

Ohio Northern University’s Black Student Union will hold a fashion show and “Dance the Night Away!” with performances by D-Rock and T-Zank on Friday, Feb. 21, at 9 p.m. Admission is $5 and $3 with student ID.
On Sunday, March 9, is gospel dinner night with Ronny Diamond formerly of the Ohio Players. Dinner is a 6 p.m. and a one-hour show is at 7 p.m. Admission, including dinner is $10.
“By March I hope to have musicians perform each Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings,” Keller said.
Main Street Live is one of three businesses Keller operates. He also owned Plush Productions, a music studio, which offers recording options for musicians, and creates radio commercials and music videos.
A third business, Buku Entertainment, is a management company that manages individual musical artists and groups.
Keller, originally from Baltimore came to Ada when his wife became a member of the Ohio Northern University law faculty.
“I’ve been in the music business most of my life,” said Keller. “Opening Main Street Live is a natural step for me.
