Michael Jones was retired from General Dynamics
Michael L. “Mike” Jones, 66, died Friday, September 12, 2014 at 3:40 p.m. at his residence in Kenton, Ohio.
He was born on October 26, 1947 in Lima, Ohio to Richard Sheldon and Edith Mae (Roberts) Jones. His father is deceased and his mother survives in Wapakoneta, Ohio. On March 22, 1974 he married Linda C. Spencer, who survives in Kenton, Ohio.
Michael was an engineer at General Dynamics and retired in 2007 after 29 years. He was a member of High Street Freewill Baptist Church, Ada. He was a graduate of Spencerville High School.
Surviving are three sons, Loren (Joyce) Gayheart of Alger, Chad (Sheena) Conley of Ada , and Chad Jones, and one daughter, Lori (Dennis) Harden of Shelbyville, Tenn.; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Penny Lee (Greg) Cummings of Wapakoneta, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Price.
A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17 , 2014 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger with Rev. James Webb officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger, Ohio.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger and until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
