ONU symphony performs "Pipes, Dances and Drums" Feb. 22
The Ohio Northern University Department of Music presents a night of “Pipes, Dances and Drums” by the ONU Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 4:30 p.m. in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts.
The program includes dances by Johann Strauss Jr., Johannes Brahms, and living Mexican composer Arturo Márquez. After intermission, the ONU Symphony Orchestra will perform Camille Saint-Saëns’ Symphony No. 3 in C minor, which is also known as the “Organ Symphony.” Professor Mary Jane Eichelberger will join the orchestra as organist.
Tickets for this performance are $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors, $5 for students, and $10 for ONU faculty and staff. The Freed Center box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone orders are accepted with American Express, MasterCard, VISA or Discover by calling 419-772-1900.
