The Icon spotted VAMIO1 (that's a zero one) on a silver Mazda Protege 5 on the ONU campus. It's a Hardin County plate.

The Ohio Northern women's tennis team will open the fall portion of its 2017-18 schedule under 17th-year head coach Scott Wills on Sept. 6 with a tri-match at Defiance with Concordia (Mich.)

Northern will also compete at the Kenyon Invitational and the ITA Regional Championships at Oberlin.

The Kenyon Invitational will include one of the strongest fields in the country for Fall competition. 

ONU will hit the courts against nationally-ranked Carnegie Mellon (Pa.), Kenyon, Case Western Reserve, Denison and Oberlin in addition to host of regionally ranked foes.

The Polar Bears finished the 2016-17 season 22-5 overall and 7-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

ONU Art Professor Luke Sheets has had three sculpture pieces accepted to this year’s Height-Weight-Depth (HWD) exhibition at the Rosewood Gallery.

The gallery is located in Kettering. Rosewood is part of Rosewood Arts Centre and exhibits contemporary art by local, regional and national artists.

Performances Nov. 16-18 and Dec. 1-3

ONU will hold children’s auditions for the Holiday Spectacular at 1 p.m.on Sunday, Sept. 10, in the Freed Center.

Auditions will be held for singers and dancers, ages 5 to 12. Those who are auditioning may be asked to sing and should be ready to participate in a dance call (jazz and/or tap shoes). There will not be prepared dance or vocal solos.

The Holiday Spectacular has been a regional tradition for more than 20 years and includes dancing, singing and skits. It is performed at both the Freed Center as well as in Lima.
