The Blanchard Pleasant Buckeye 4-H Club will meet Monday, March 27 at the Hardin Northern School at 7:30pm.

Enrollment forms are due. Election of officers will take place and the program will be a parliamentary procedure demonstration.

Those responsible are: 4-H Pledge by Jonah Ruhlen, Pledge of Allegiance by Emori Criner, trivia by Alyssa Heldman, snacks by Makenna Eibling and drinks by Emori Criner. 

The registration deadline for the Hardin County Citizens Sheriff’s Academy is Monday March 27th. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of Hardin County. Applications may be picked up at the Sheriff's Office, 1025 S. Main St., Kenton and returned with the $30 fee by Monday, March 27.

The Academy will meet weekly on Tuesdays from April 4 to May 16 from 6-8:30p.m

The Academy provides citizens an opportunity to see every aspect of the operation of the Sheriff's Office. Classroom presentations, demonstrations, and tours are part of the curriculum.

The Ohio Northern outdoor men's track and field team is ranked No. 29 in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association preseason power rankings.

Northern is coming off of a succesful indoor season where it posted a 47-16 record.

Wis.-LaCrosse took the top spot while Rowan (N.J.) took the second spot and North Central (Ill.) finished third.

The only time this spring that the home crowd can watch the outdoor competition in Ada will be Saturday, April 22, during the Polar Bear Invitational.

The Ohio Northern women's outdoor track and field team is ranked No. 13 in the nation, according to a coaches' poll.

Northern in coming off of an outstanding indoor season in which the team posted a 52-9 record and finished tied for fifth nationally as a team at the NCAA Div. III Championships.

The only time they will compete at home this spring will be when ONU hosts the Polar Bear Invitational on Saturday, April 2.

In the recent poll, Washington (Mo.) took the top spot while Claremon-Mudd-Scripps (Cal.) came in second and Wis.-LaCrosse rounded out the top three.

President Donald J. Trump announced members of the White House Counsel's Office on March 7, 2017. Included in these appointments is Rob Luther, JD ’06, associate counsel to the president. Most recently, Luther served as counsel to Attorney General Jeff Sessions on the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary.

There will be more beautification along Main Street this summer with the addition of more hanging baskets. Last summer 20 baskets adorned Main Street and the Depot. This year there will be 28 baskets with the new ones placed along South Main from Lincoln to College, past restaurants, a flower shop, and the ONU Front Campus.
