ONU Senior Logan Pfeifer(Bucyrus/Colonel Crawford) earned All-Conference honors in the 50 free to lead the Ohio Northern men on the first day of the 2017 Ohio Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on Thursday at the University of Akron's Ocasek Natatorium.
Pfeifer was second in the event in :21.08.
The top three finishers in each individual event and the top two relay teams earn All-Conference honors.
The Polar Bears are gunning for their 13th consecutive OAC Championships crown under 13th-year head coach Peggy Ewald and are in second place out of seven teams through five of the 20 events.

It’s official: Easter House Bed and Breakfast, 508 N. Main St., is the 2017 Ada Area Chamber of Commerce’s business of the year.
David Dellifield, chamber president, made the announcement at the Feb. 15 chamber annual dinner in McIntosh Center.
Accepting the award were owners Mark Hilan and Amy Eddings.
The business is barely one year old, yet the owners have proven worthy of the award through several efforts to promote Ada through their business and being a driving force to launch the Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival.
Ohio Northern University's Delta Sigma Phi fraternity have preparations underway for the 7th annual Polar Plunge at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 25. The event is a fund raiser for the American Red Cross. Watch the Icon for more details. This photo is from last year's plunge which raised $1,500.
