• 5 Preschool Visits with 97 in attendance
• 32,947 Patron Visits to the Library
• 524 Participants in the Summer Reading Program.

The Icon's Advertiser's Index now includes links to advertiser Facebook pages. The alphabetical index includes all Icon advertisers. The listing includes phone numbers and links to advertiser websites and Facebook pages.
The Icon has over 50 advertisers and the Index is a highly viewed featured. Over the past 12 months the Index received over 600 views - or nearly two each day.
A single-vehicle accident in Marion Township, south of McGuffey resulted in one death and two persons hospitalized on Feb. 13.
Jack Parkins, of McGuffey, was driving east on County Road 110 on Feb. 13 and lost control of the vehicle, going off the south side of the road, according to Hardin County Sheriff's Office.
The car overturned in a drainage ditch. A passenger in the vehicle, Patricia Parr, of McGuffey, was taken to Lima Memorial Health System, where she was pronounced dead.
Parkins and another passenger, Jeffery Jones, were also taken to Lima Memorial with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Ohio Northern men's track and field team made its 2017 debut in the top-25 as it ranked No. 24 in the fourth weekly United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association power rankings.
The Polar Bears (39-15 overall) received 36.01 points in the rankings.
Northern returns to the track Saturday as they travel to Alliance to compete in the Mount Union Raider Tune Up meet with events beginning at noon.
