The visiting Ada boys basketball team led all the way in beating local rival Cory-Rawson 59-55 in a non-conference contest Saturday night, December 18.

"We had a solid effort at both ends," said first-year Ada head coach Vince Halliday. "We hit some big three's in the fourth quarter to keep them at bay."

The Bulldogs improved to 3-4 overall with the victory. With the win, they have already equaled last season's win total. C-R dropped to 2-7 with the defeat.

Ada got off to a good start as Carter Conley buried three three-pointers to give the Bulldogs an 18-7 lead after the opening period.

Studens from Miss Daniels' 3rd Grade Class at Ada Elementary sent these letters to Santa and shared them with the Icon. This installment is half of the letters. Another batch will appear on Christmas Eve.

Dear Santa,

Here are a few things I would like for Christmas. First, I will want a phone that is a real phone. I would really like an iPhone 13, so I am in contact with my mom. Next, I will like a school set. So I will practice so I’m good at school. Lastly, I would like a slime set that has all the solutions. Why I want a slime set is because it will be fun. All in all that's what I want for Christmas. P.S. How fast does Rudolph fly?

Sincerely,
