Dietary supplements have surged in popularity in recent years as more individuals turn to self-directed wellness routines. Common dietary supplements include vitamins, minerals, herbs, amino acids, and probiotics. Available in pharmacies, grocery stores, and online retailers, these products are marketed with promises of enhanced immunity, increased energy, and improved overall health. However, despite their wide availability and often appealing claims, dietary supplements are not without healthcare concerns. Many consumers are unaware of the potential risks associated with their use, particularly when taken without medical guidance.

Capping off a stellar career, Ada senior softball standout Jenna Bassitt was voted first team Div. VI All-Ohio in 2025 by the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association (OHSFSCA).

She became the first Bulldog softball player ever to be named first team all-state. She made second team All-Ohio in 2024. 

Ada third baseman Maddie Gossard and catcher Sydney Newland were previously named second team all-state from the 2018 district title squad.

ADA__The Ada Gators summer swim team lost a West Ohio Aquatic League dual meet to visiting Findlay on a sunny evening, Thursday, June 19 at the Ada municipal pool.

The Gator boys dual meet record fell to 3-1 after the 228-131 loss to the Frogs. The Ada girls lost 189-120 to drop to 1-3 this summer.

JUNE 19 MEDIA RELEASE__St. Mark Lutheran Church, located at the corner of Lincoln and Johnson Streets in Ada, will be conducting its Free Community Meal on Wednesday, June 25, from 5 to 6:30. 

The menu this month is Bratwurst, Cole slaw, Fruit, Chips, and Cookies. 

You may dine in, carry out, or drive up for curbside service. 

We do ask that if you will require more than 8 meals that you call 419-792-0911 by noon on Monday, June 23 so that we may be prepared. 

Last month we ran out of food and had to turn folks away.  We are looking forward to serving you.

Wipe Out was the surf music instrumental released in 1963 by the group Surfaris. The members of the group included Bob Berryhill, Pat Connolly, Jim Fuller and Ron Wilson. Wilson was the drummer for the song and his fast-paced drumming is considered a classic by musicians. The song has been featured in over 20 films and TV series since 1964.
