The Bluffton Blaze of Lights is more than just a one-day event. In addition to the events taking place on Nov. 26, it includes these elements that continue nightly through Jan. 1:
• the Ream folk art holiday display
• the Gift of Giving light show extravaganza
• Bluffton Main Street business district Christmas window displays
• a tour of Bluffton’s residential yard lighting
The stage is set for the 2016 Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Blaze of Lights. This year’s event, the 30th annual Blaze, begin this weekend in downtown Bluffton. Here is the up-to-the-minute Blaze information.
There's a book fair underway in Ada and it's still open on Tuesday. It's located in the media center of the Ada schools and it is open during parent teacher conferences. Looking at student involvement in this photo, it offers many interesting buying opportunities. The Ada Academic Boosters sponsor the event.

1916 - the public library was in the rest room of the old town hall, 1917 moved to second floor of Brewer Block on main street, 1919 to the brick building on Highland Street. Mrs. Cora Anspach was the first librarian.
1916 - the Research club originated in 1916 as a music and literary club with a membership of 14, through the efforts of Mrs. Chauncey Bohannon and Mrs. Michael Felker.

Here are members of the Ada Rotary Club taken in 1953. There are many familiar Ada names, including Hindall, Cole, Gibbon, Crouse, Klingler, Bischoff, Arbogast and many others.
The Alger Memorial Festival Committee will hold a country-style breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Alger Social Center, 210 N. Main St., Alger.
The menu includes biscuits, sausage gravy, hash browns, scrambled eggs, fried apples, sausage patties and a beverage.
