This is Ada Main Street, right in the heart of the business district. Notice the large seams on State Route 235 for for vehicles to straddle as motorists head north and south through town.
Good news: This spring ODOT plans to repave Main Street from the north city limits to the south limits. The work will likely be done in early spring, rather than late spring...and none too soon. Last winter, the seam cane apart in many places, making north-south travel difficult. It was repaired, but winter repairs don’t last long. Hopefully, last year’s patch will hold through this winter.
At 9:57 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, the village of Ada lifted the boil water advisory that affected several sections of the village.
The advisory affected 122 properties in the northeast section of the town.
A main water line broke at the intersection of State Route 81 and North Johnson Street causing the boil advisory to about one tenth of the properties in town.
