FROM FACEBOOK__Good afternoon, pullers and fans,

Pulling season will be here before you know it. we have been working very hard meeting with promoters and local fairboards trying to get our events line up for the year; with that being said, we have our schedule for the 2026 pulling season.

Saturday, June 13 - Ada War Memorial Spring Pull at Ada, Ohio, 6:00 p.m.

Friday, June 26 - Putnam County Fair Pull at Ottawa, Ohio, 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, August 1 - Northwest Ohio Antique Machinery Show Pull at Findlay, Ohio, 6:30 p.m.

MEDIA RELEASE__The 2026 annual Hardin County Pork Banquet will be held on Saturday, March 21 at the Upper  Scioto Valley School District’s auditorium. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the banquet beginning at 6:00 p.m. Banquet tickets this year are $8 for adults and non-exhibitors, $4 for fair building workers, and exhibitors for free. 

Reservations are not needed this year, and all tickets are paid for at the door at the banquet. Exhibitors will also  receive a free sweatshirt if they sign up for one by March 2 at go.osu.edu/26porkbanquetshirts. 

AKRON __The Ohio Northern men's swimming and diving team opened the 2026 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships meet with a third-place finish in the 800 free relay on Wednesday evening.

The Basics

  • Record: Ohio Northern (8-0 overall, 4-0 OAC).
  • Ohio Northern is third of five teams with 32 points.
  • Mount Union leads the team standings with 40 points, Wilmington is second with 34 points, Baldwin Wallace is fourth with 30 points and Heidelberg is fifth with 28 points.
  • Venue: Ocasek Natatorium — Akron, Ohio.

Meet Highlights

February 16, 2026

The Park District Liberty Twp Hardin Co Ohio met on the above date in the park office.

The meeting was held via phone conversation with Bob Szuch and Paul Fletcher.  Both board members were out of town on the February 16, 2026.  Present at the park office were Jamie Hall, Ken Wolke, park manager and Mary Jane Lee, Clerk.

Beatitudes Community Center will collaborate with ONU Student Senate and Greek Life to host Where Fashion Blooms Again, a spring fashion show benefiting the center's community outreach. The event will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23 in the ONU McIntosh Ballroom.

Dinner and musical entertainment will also be provided. Tickets are $25 and are currently available at Beatitudes, 210 N. Main St.

Four Ada High School girls basketball players received All-Blanchard Valley Conference honors in voting recently conducted by the league coaches.

Senior 6-0 post Anna Conley was named second team All-BVC. She led Ada in scoring (11.6 points), rebounds (8.9) and blocks (2.6) per game this season.

Versatile freshman Tea Griffith also earned second team all-league notice. She scored 10.2 points and grabbed 6.4 rebounds per contest.

Sharpshooting junior guard Kenley Poling was voted honorable mention all-league. She scored 4.7 ppg and dished out 2.6 assists a game.
