HARROD__The Ada High School softball team broke open a scoreless duel with two big late innings to blank backyard rival Allen East 10-0 in a Northwest Conference contest Thursday, April 18.

KENTON__The United Way of Hardin County is looking for volunteers to help with its annual Day of Caring. The event will be held May 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Volunteers will be working with area non-profits on project requests submitted by the organizations.   

On Saturday, April 20 Buckeye East, 123 E Buckeye, Ada, will host its first Kids Farmers Market. The event will include 22 young vendors set up inside and outside of the coffee shop from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. This special event is provided without charge to the vendors.

Children's author Erin Hayden-Baldauf, PhD.  will be appearing on Saturday, April 20 at Our Garden of Gifts, 220 N. Main St, Ada from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Hayden-Baldaufwrites children's books for fun and education; she is from Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Michael R. Pezzi, age 74, of Forest, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay surrounded by his family. 

The Ada Community Improvement Corporation met on Wednesday, April 18 with a nominally limited agenda (attached). No old business, no new business. Formal announcements were limited to financial reports.
