Ohio Northern junior Jill Chapman was named a Scholar All-American for 2015-16 by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
The Polar Bears were also named a Scholar All-America team by the CSCAA this year.
Chapman was one of a record 853 swimmers and divers named to the CSCAA Scholar All-America team. The selections recognize students that have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
She is a two-time NCAA III Championships qualifier in the 50 free, finishing 27th this season and 35th as a sophomore in 2015.
The Polar Bears posted a 5-6 overall record, shared the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season title with a 4-10 record and was second at the OAC Championships in 2015-16 under 12th-year head coach Peggy Ewald.
