Senior Scott Rapps (Bay Village Bay) was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week presented by Scoutware for his efforts in Ohio Northern's 16-10 victory over Otterbein.

Rapps turned in a dominating performance from his defensive tackle position.

He had a team-high nine sacks, had 5.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, forced a fumble and recovered two fumbles in the game.

His first fumble recovery was in the end zone for ONU's only touchdown of the game in the second quarter and his second was part of a sack and strip that snuffed out Otterbein's final drive with 1:33 left in the game.

Rapps was also named Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

This season, he is third on the team with 23 tackles and leads the squad with 8.5 TFL and 3.0 sacks.

The Polar Bears will return to action on Saturday when they entertain No. 1-ranked Mount Union at 1:30 pm at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
