Both ONU men’s and women’s basketball teams lost to Mt. Union on Saturday. The men’s game follows and the women’s game is below the men’s.
Ohio Northern got 28 points, nine rebounds and four assists from senior All-American center Ryan Bruns(Chickasaw/Marion Local), but the ONU men's basketball team fell 79-71 at Mount Union on Saturday afternoon at the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.
The Polar Bears fall to 4-15 overall and 0-12 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Purple Raiders improve to 15-4, 9-3.

Wrestling
No. 11-ranked senior Clayton Davidson (Kirtland) posted a 4-1 record at 174 pounds to lead the Ohio Northern wrestling team on the first day of the Pete Willson-Wheaton (Ill.) Invitational on Friday at King Arena.
The Polar Bears are 26th of 38 teams, 11 of which are ranked in the NCAA Division III top 25, with 17 points.
Davidson had a pin and three decisions and has reached the fourth round of the consolation bracket.

They will demonstrate how footballs are made. Both Super Bowl teams' special balls were sent from Ada on Jan. 21. The free community meal usually held the last Wednesday of each month at St. Mark Lutheran Church at 125 S. Johnson St. in Ada will not be held this Wednesday due to expected bitter temperatures and wind chill. Please plan to join us in February.

NORTH ROBINSON - The Ada swimmers posted several personal-bests at the North Central Ohio Swimming League championship meet hosted by Colonel Crawford Saturday.
Ada junior standout Klava Katayama captured first in the 50 freestyle and 100-yard butterfly races. She set league meet records in each event and scored 32 of the 82 Lady Bulldog points.
"Klava won both of her events and broke the (league) records for both as well," noted Ada head coach Stephanie Steiner. "We had more personal-records from Melina (Temple) and Bella (East) in both of their events at the meet as well."
