I am celebrating three years as the owner-editor of the Bluffton Icon and Ada Icon. Golly, how time flies.
Looking forward, I expect time will continue flying. So I’ve got a new bee in my bonnet: to improve how the Icon generates and reports news in Ada. The Icons have one employee, me, and a few “stringers.” And I don’t think that’s a sustainable business model.
My goals are to increase the Icons’ “bandwidth” while keeping the news free and the ads affordable by:
The Ohio Department of Transportation is recognizing National Roundabouts Week as "a time to celebrate a simple engineering design that has dramatically improved the safety of intersections throughout the country."
Legislation includes a new resolution to accept the Bid of Neptune Equipment Company Inc. for the Village of Ada, Ohio Water Meter Replacement Project. Some 1,880 residential, commercial, and industrial water meters are included in this plan.
Rumpke Waste & Recycling will add a new acceptable item for recycling—clamshell plastic containers starting November 1, 2024. At that time, residents can add clamshells to their recycling carts. This will include clear plastic carry-out containers; fruit, berry and lettuce containers and egg containers. For information on current guidelines, visit Rumpke HERE.
