Pharmacy students brightened the day for residents of Vancrest on Tuesday when they brought Christmas presents to a party that included Santa, carol singing, and refreshments.
Here, Marjorie Johnson opens a sack full of presents delivered by Katerina Jordan.
Students from the pharmacy organization American Society of Consultant Pharmacists put together Christmas gifts for all 46 residents of Vancrest, those in assisted living and those in the nursing home area.

William L. "Bill" Gieseler, 73, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at 3:32 p.m.
He was born on March 2, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio, to Harold L. and Dolores Kathryn (McGlumphy) Gieseler who preceded him in death. On Nov. 16, 1968, Bill married Paula K. Scott and she survives in Alger.
