Between fall and winter sport seasons

Drive Time Driving Instruction, Bluffton, will offer a "Get 'r Done" class from Sunday, Oct. 30, to Saturday, Nov. 5.

Classes are held daily Sunday through Thursday evening and Saturday morning  between fall and winter sport seasons.

Bluffton and Findlay
Sunday, Oct. 30, 5:15-9:30 p.m.
Monday-Thursday, Oct. 31-Nov. 3, 5-9:15 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 5, 8 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Saturday evening dinner, history program; community invited to Sunday morning worship

The Ada Presbyterian Church is the oldest religious organization in the village, dating back 175 years.

It was organized as a religious society in August, 1841 at Huntersville, Ohio, a small village located about four miles southeast of Ada. In 1855 the congregation moved to what was then known as Johnstown (now, Ada) where they met in an old frame school house.

Homecoming weekend Oct. 21-23

“Polar Bear State of Mind” will be the theme for Ohio Northern University Homecoming events Oct. 21-23. The annual occasion offers an opportunity for former students to return to campus and connect with their alma mater. A series of events is planned to capture the spirit of ONU.

Lady Bulldog spikers seeded 4th; boys’ soccer 8th; girls’ soccer 10th

The Ada volleyball team was seeded fourth at the Ottawa-Glandorf district Div. IV drawings held Sunday.

Ada (15-6) will host sixth seed Pandora-Gilboa in first round tournament play Tuesday, October 18 at 6 p.m. 

The winner then visits third-seeded Hardin Northern, which received a first round bye, on Thursday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. in the district quarterfinals.

Ada did not play P-G this season, but lost 2-0 at county rival Hardin Northern September 3. McComb is the top seed in the 13-team O-G district, while Leipsic is seeded second.

The Bulldogs have won 12 of their last 13 matches since the loss to HN.
