That makes it official: Mercy Health – Ada Family Medicine is open for business even though a “soft” opening took place in late May.

The noon June 22 ribbon cutting ceremony allowed Ada officials to tour its newest building, meet the staff and representatives from St. Rita’s Medical Center.
Located in front of Vancrest of Ada on State Route 81, Ada Family Medicine’s lead physician is Dr. Jason Hageman, M.D.
He has been associated with St. Rita's for the past two years. He will share his time between Ada and St. Rita's.
But, even last evening high water was still a problem is spots.
This shows the stream crossing the Hardin County Line south of County Line Church of the Brethren. That stream was still high on Thursday evening and traffic was unable to cross.
Bikers are coming to Ada on Saturday and Sunday, July 16-17.
There could be as many as 300 – all on 10-speeds and similar varieties. Their arrival is part of the annual Young’s Ice Cream Charity Bike Tour, an 83-mile (one way) jaunt from Yellow Springs to Ada and return.

The purpose of the ride – in addition to the exercise – is raise funds and awareness for Young’s charities. This year’s ride supports The Alzheimer’s Association, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, South Community Behavioral Healthcare and United Rehabilitation Services.
The American Red Cross North Central Ohio Chapter responded to a fire that occurred on Lincoln Street in Mt. Cory on Thursday.
The Red Cross provided assistance to the family of four for emergency shelter and immediate needs such as clothing and food and also provided comfort kits of personal hygiene items to those affected.
Todd James, Executive Director, North Central Ohio Chapter. Said the Red Cross urges everyone to take steps to minimize the risk of a fire occurring in their home.
