Student identified in Thursday written school threat
On Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Ada Police Department was called to the Ada Schools in reference to a written threat that had been discovered on a wall within the school.
After an investigation by Ada School Administration and the Ada Police Department a student was identified as the writer and no credible threat existed.
The Ada Schools will be handling any disciplinary action while the Ada Police Department continues to its investigation into possible criminal charges.
As the threat was identified after school hours and resolved late Thursday evening, there was no interruption in school activities and school resumed as normal on Friday morning.
The Ada Police Department routinely patrols the exterior and interior of the school during school hours and will increase our presence as a precaution and to alleviate further concerns.
