ReStore Center seeking new village garden coordinator
The Village Garden, sponsored by The ReStore Community Center of Ada, is in
need of new leadership coordinating the volunteers and gardeners of this
lovely downtown garden.
Begun many years ago, the garden has nine large beds and four smaller ones.
Those claiming a garden for the summer season care for their garden bed,
weeding it, watering it and nurturing the plants towards harvest.
Gardeners are asked to share part of their harvest with the ReStore Center and/or The Ada Food Pantry. Sideline gardens have also been invested on this generous plot of land donated by John Amburgey, Sr., of Ada behind Liberty National Bank. Currently there are black raspberry plants along one fence and two perennial flower gardens.
If you are interested in knowing more about coordinating these gardens please
see Rob Kanzig, director of the ReStore Community Center, 210 N. Main Street,
or call 419-558-1015.
