Ada's latest news

ONU has had a stellar season so far in spring sports. The last five news stories posted by the Ada Icon proved just that...all wins in various sports, men’s teams and women’s teams.

However tonight, the Icon reports a loss...in baseball, by just one run.

The Ohio Northern baseball team's comeback against Ohio Wesleyan came up short as it dropped a hard-fought 10-9 decision on Thursday afternoon in Delaware.

The Polar Bears fall to 18-7 overall, while the Battling Bishops improve to 9-12.

Sean Buckley has joined the the Ohio Northern football coaching staff as assistant coach and will coach the quarterbacks.

Prior to arriving at ONU, he was an assistant coach at Ohio State from 2013-17.

He was a part of 61 victories over this five year period and appeared in 5 New Year's Six Bowl games including 2 College Football Playoff Apperances.

Landscaping the addition to the Ada Public Library includes perennials, shrubs, and small trees. The selection of plants will allow for colorful blooms throughout the growing season, while the use of several varieties of evergreens provides some greenery during the winter months. Here, workmen plant a line of coral bells between the north side of the building and the parking lot.

But, just wait until opening day
