Karen Lynn Taylor, 1948 - 2018
Karen Lynn Taylor, age 69, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Kindred Hospital, Lima.
She was born on April 22, 1948 in Allen County, Ohio to James D. and Maxine (Fitzpatrick) Hamilton who preceded her in death. Karen married Marvin Patrick Taylor and he is deceased.
Karen was the finance secretary for the Boy Scouts of America where she retired after working 19 years. She was a member of the Lima Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Dustin J. Taylor of Van Wert; a daughter, Andrea L. (Bill) Melton of LaFayette; four grandchildren: Danny Melton, Casey Melton, Ethan Melton and Dustin Taylor Jr; a great grandson, Braxton Melton; and a brother, J. Rick Hamilton of Lima.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Donavan Taylor.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and/or Community Health Professionals of Ada – Hospice.
