Hays Insurance was honored as Ada Area Chamber of Commerce business of the year during the Chamber’s annual meeting today (Feb. 21) during a luncheon in McIntosh Center.

Rebecca Hunt, a representative from Secretary of State John Husted’s office, also presented Chad with a certificate of commendation.

Chad Hays purchased Hays Insurance Agencies from Bruce Hays in January 2017. Hays Insurance features independent agents. The business was started by Bruce and Brad Hays in 1983. Chad entered the business after graduating from ONU in 1999 and was a partner with Bruce for 18 years.

In addition to Chad, employees include Mollie Gonder and Michelle Luellen, full time in Ada; Bernie Mackey, part time in Ada; and Theresa Boucher, Kim Newland, and Brian Schaffer, full time in Celina.

In accepting the award, Chad said, “I want to thank the community for its support, and we hope to serve the Ada area for many more years.”
