A. Wayne Kaiser, 1922 - 2018
A. Wayne Kaiser, age 95, died on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 6:20 a.m. at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
He was born on June 16, 1922 in New Hampshire, Ohio to Victor and Madonna (Campbell) Kaiser, who preceded him in death. On March 27, 1948, Wayne married Phyllis Lenhart, and she survives in Harrod.
Wayne was a lifelong farmer and musician. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII.
He is also survived by a son: Larry (Tina) Kaiser of Harrod; three daughters: Sue (Greg) Coburn of Lima, Charlotte (Carl) Poe of Ada, and Vicki (Steve) Lee of Westminster; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a brother: Ross Kaiser of Harrod; three sisters: Edith Eutsler of Kenton, Marilyn (Ronnie) Whitaker of South Carolina, and Anne (Sonny) Wilch of Lima; and a sister-in-law: Marie Kaiser of Alger.
Wayne was preceded in death by a brother: Louie Kaiser, and five sisters: Pauline, Shirley, Evelyn, Norita, and Phyllis.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, with Rev. Calvin Waugh officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home Alger, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
