Bulldog netmen stay unbeaten, sweep Harding

ADA - The Ada boys tennis team swept visiting Marion Harding 5-0 in a battle of previously unbeaten teams on a warm and windy Friday evening.
The Bulldogs improved to 5-0 with the one-sided victory, while MH fell to 4-1 with the loss.
Senior ace Zach Beaschler won 12 games in a row at first singles to increase his record to 5-0 this spring. Speedy junior Cade Mullins dominated at second singles, dropping just one game as he also improved to 5-0.
Consistent-stroking freshman Miranda Wills handled the wind well and won without dropping a game at third singles to stay undefeated at 5-0.
Athletic Isaac Spar and Nathan Hurtig rolled to a straight-sets win at first doubles.
Inthe only close match, fiery Acel Gamble and Adam Bailey won a tense battle in a third-set tiebreaker at second doubles. The Bulldog duo rallied from a set down and 5-6 in the third to force a tiebreak.
The Bulldog duo, led by Gamble's aggressive play, then rolled to a 7-2 win in the tiebreak after starting out ahead 5-0.
