First-year varsity girls soccer head coach Doug DeWese looks to field a much improved Ada High School squad this fall.
"Our goals are achievable, it is just a matter of finishing off games," said Dewese of the team's potential. "We have got to have the confidence that we can win.
"Our goal is a 10-win season," he noted with optimism. That total would easily set a program record for wins in a season.
Nine letter winners and one senior return to the varsity roster in an attempt to achieve that lofty but reachable end. Ada fashioned a 2-10-1 overall record and went 0-5-1 in Northwest Conference action last fall.
The 17th annual Bluffton Fall Festival, with many family-oriented activities, will take place throughout the community on Saturday, Sept. 24, with most activities occurring between 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
The Ada High School girls soccer team rallied from a halftime deficit to upset homestanding Coldwater 4-3 in a non-league match Monday night, August 22.
The Bulldog girls trailed 2-1 at intermission, yet came back on the strength of a three-goal second half to win.
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 3-0 with the victory. Ada has outscored its opposition 17-4 thus far this season.
Junior standout Ella Marshall netted the eventual winning goal with 13 minutes left to clinch the victory.
