Jennifer Line of Vancrest puts the finishing touches on a tree that will be raffled off during the second annual Vancrest Holiday Fair on Saturday, Dec. 9.

After a successful first year in 2016, even more vendors have signed up for this year's event which will be held from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

There will be 29 craftsmen and independent dealers selling their wares to all who attend, just in time for Christmas gift-giving. The tree raffle is new this year.

The fair is a good place to find unique gifts. Vancrest is located on State Route 81 west, across from Ada Schools.

Priscilla West serves as the Salvation Army Red Kettle drive bellringer in front of Reichert's Clothing on Saturday morning. The drive helps local families with everything from rent and utilities to food and necessities. Bellringers will be at Reichert's again next Saturday, then at Community Market on Dec. 16 and 23. You'll find this plate on a white Nissan parked just off Main Street, Ada. Looks like a husband and wife combination.
