Voting took place today for Ada High School Homecoming King and Queen with the results to be announced at pregame on Friday, about 6:30 p.m. The royalty will be selected from among the senior candidates. VAN WERT - The Ada cross country teams ran in the unseasonable heat of the Van Wert Invitational Saturday morning, but the abnormally high temperatures did not hinder the short-handed boys squad.
Reece Evans finished the 3.1-mile course in 20:28 to pace the Bulldog boys. Michael Crouse posted a time of 20:37 and Ian
Dellifield crossed the finish line in 26:28.
"As for the Ada girls heat played a major factor, resulting in some of their slowest times of the season," said Bulldog coach Josh Klein.
MINSTER - The Ada volleyball team placed fourth at the tough eight-team Minster Invitational Saturday.
The Lady Bulldog record is now 7-7 after winning one of three matches at Minster.
In their first match Ada defeated Botkins 25-13, 25-15. Senior Melina Woods slammed 18 kills, mustered five digs, served three aces and made a pair of blocks.
Senior setter Maddie Gossard contributed 18 assists, four aces and three kills to the win.
