Community Health Professionals (CHP) Home Care & Hospice is introducing a monthly bereavement support group in Ada. 

The group called Hope for Tomorrow meets the first Saturday each month at 10 a.m. in the conference room at CHP Home Care & Hospice, 1200 S. Main St., Ada.

The first session is Saturday, Nov. 7.

The group is free and open to anyone who has experienced a recent loss, regardless of receiving services previously through CHP.

Meetings are informal with a trained facilitator; open to men and women, with the goal of promoting healing, emotional support and encouragement.

The Ada School District is still sponsoring its traditional Veterans’ Day
breakfast on Wednesday, Nov. 11, according to Dave Lusk.

"However, due to covid-19, this year’s breakfast will be drive through/pick up only."

"We invite all veterans and their families as well as active duty service personnel who live, work or worship within the boundaries of the Ada Exempted Village Schools to pick up breakfast between 8 and 9 a.m.

ONU Child Development Center students recently became paleontologists. In their work, they uncovered several fossils. According to June Zimmerman they dug, sorted, classified and matched their findings. And, they wore appropriate scientific uniforms during the research. Several additional photos are part of this series.

Blanchard Valley Health System’s Bridge Hospice Care Center Opens Six-Bed Patient Unit at Wood County Hospital

The Bridge Hospice Care Center, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS), has opened a six-bed patient unit on the second floor of Wood County Hospital. The Care Center was previously located at 1069 Klotz Road in Bowling Green and has moved to the hospital on Wooster Street.
