Bereavement support group starts in Ada
Community Health Professionals (CHP) Home Care & Hospice is introducing a monthly bereavement support group in Ada.
The group called Hope for Tomorrow meets the first Saturday each month at 10 a.m. in the conference room at CHP Home Care & Hospice, 1200 S. Main St., Ada.
The first session is Saturday, Nov. 7.
The group is free and open to anyone who has experienced a recent loss, regardless of receiving services previously through CHP.
Meetings are informal with a trained facilitator; open to men and women, with the goal of promoting healing, emotional support and encouragement.
“Each of us mourns death differently,” said Hayley Neubert, MSW, hospice social worker.
“Some people cope with their grief by themselves and do not want or need outside assistance, while others find comfort in sharing the pain, anger, depression and other emotions they feel following a loss.
"The goal of our group is to provide a safe place to share with others who understand.”
