Do you know a prince or princess?

If you do, you might want to join the celebration of National Fairy Day twice this summer, thanks to The Inn at ONU.

A prince and princess tea is planned Friday, June 24, and again on Sunday, July 26, at the Inn located at 401 W. College Ave., Ada.

The event includes food, tea and tunes. For details, contact The Inn at 419-772-2500 or email [email protected]

On Thursday, June 23, Ada residents might think for a moment that the clock turned back to the 1920s.

That's because Ada will be visited by nearly 40 Model A Fords. These vehicles range in model year from 1928 to 1931.

They will be on exhibit in the Ada depot parking lot and are part of an all-day celebration.

In cooperation with the Buy Ada First and Ada Area Chamber of Commerce, several activities are planned to entertain the visiting Model A drivers. Some of these activities are open to the public.

Specifically, the first Music on Main luncheon and cruise in of the season takes place in the depot park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For the time period of May 1-May 31, Hardin County Extension rainfall reporters recorded an average of 3.27 inches of rain in Hardin County.

Last year, the average rainfall for the same time period was 3.70 inches.  Rainfall for May 1-May 31, 2016, is 0.62 inches less than the 10-year average rainfall during the same dates.

According to Phil Epley Liberty Township has recorded 3.77 inches in May and 5.24 inches for the growing season, which started April 15.

A spa day and Bingo benefit will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, at Affinity Hall on the ONU campus.

Money raised will go toward medical expenses of Lisa Beltz Lemaster.

The Ada VFW serves breakfast every Sunday, except holidays, at the post on State Route 235 north of Ada.

The breakfast, which is open to the public, is served from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. for $4 or $7.
