LIMA__The Ada High School softball team utilized two huge innings to decisively defeat Carey 11-0 in Div. VI Northwest 1 district semifinal action at Bath on a windy Thursday evening, May 21.

2026 graduates of Ada High School were celebrated at the annual Baccalaureate service on Tuesday, May 19 in the English Chapel at Ohio Northern University. This tradition began in 2002, under the leadership of Rev. Wayne Albertson, who wanted to honor graduates in a way that recognizes God’s guidance in their lives and allows their families and the community to offer personal blessings over each graduate. The Ada Ministerial Association has continued the tradition in partnership with the parents of graduating seniors.

Moral fiber is an idiom used to describe strength or courage that one derives from moral principles or ethical value.  The term is linked to the nineteenth century and was in the 1873 English Oxford Dictionary. It compares human character with the strong threads of material or fiber. The term “a lack of moral fiber” was used officially by the British Royal Air Force in World War II to describe air crews who did not engage in battle due to fear.
