MEDIA RELEASE_Ohio State University Extension of Hardin County has collected unofficial township rainfall data for April. Fifteen volunteer rainfall reporters in respective townships have been collecting rainfall amounts for the past 34 consecutive years. Rainfall amounts are recorded from only one section per township.

FROM FACEBOOK_McGuffey's community garage sale weekend has been set for May 28-30. This is the weekend before the village cleanup. Residents planning to have a yard sale may send a message to the village of McGuffy Facebook page that includes an address and a small description of items being sold. A master copy will be created and posted to Facebook and copies will be available for people while shopping.

 

FROM FACEBOOK__The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce has unveiled a new sticker for the 10 year anniversary of the Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival.

For the past 10 years, the Wilson Football factory has celebrated the most iconic footballs and people in the game proudly from Ada. The factory has officially launched a logo commemorating the 10-year anniversary of the event. It will be featured on festival shirts, promotional materials, and as a commemorative sticker.

The Made in Ada Football Festival is set for August 22, 2026.

FROM FACEBOOK__Congratulations to Ada Schools student Ben Rush on his outstanding achievement at State Science Day! Ben, a 7th grade student, presented his individual project, *Shin Protectors*, and earned a Superior rating along with two prestigious first-place awards:

Governor’s Thomas Edison Award for Excellence in Biotechnology & Biomedical Technologies: Presented for an outstanding project in the field of biotechnology. Sponsored by the Ohio Development Services Agency. Citadel Securities Innovation Prize: Awarded for using innovation and expert data analysis to address and solve real-world problems.
