Delores F. Siders, age 92, of Lima, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at her son’s residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 24, 1932 in Rittman, Ohio to the late Richard and Maizie (Flannery) O’Brien.
Delores is survived by her 6 children: Ken (Maria) Siders of Sarasota, FL, David (Bonnie) Siders of Lima, Edwin (Dorothy) Siders of Covington, Keith (Sharon) Siders of Chesnee, SC, Sandra (Bob) Reed of Alger; and Kevin (Teresa) Siders of Cridersville; 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and two sisters: Eileen Ashley and Katherine Wright.
During the week of June 29-July 5, the Ada Icon and Bluffton Icon will be in a summer break mode with reduced content. JUNE 26 MEDIA RELEASE — The Hardin County Department of Job and Family Services will launch a countywide Back to School Spirit Wear program for eligible Hardin County families beginning Monday, July 7.
To be eligible, families must reside in Hardin County, have children enrolled in grades K-12 and be at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level. For a family of four, that's $64,308 a year.
JUNE 27 MEDIA RELEASE__More than 500 swimmers and their families will descend on Wapakoneta July 11-12, 2025, for the annual Western Ohio Aquatics League (WOAL) Swim Champs. WOAL is for swimmers aged 5-18 who are members of one of the league’s teams.
Wapakoneta Village pool is the host site for the 2025 Swim Champs and will host seven teams: Ada Gators, Bluffton Sardines, Findlay Frogs, Kenton Stingrays, Shawnee Tide, Wapakoneta Waves, Westside Wave and Van Wert Marlins. Teams will compete for the 2025 league title.
Jamie Hall wrapped up his “third career” working as the Village Administrator for Ada on Friday, June 22. If you can’t imagine Hall letting grass grow under his feet in retirement, you’re right. He is already talking about a fourth career driving school buses.
