Ada's latest news

Photos by Monty Siekerman and Ken Collins

During December Monty Siekerman and Ken Collins took lots of holiday photos.

We take this opportunity to look back at some of the scenes, which will forever evoke memories of Christmas 2018 in Ada.

Merry Christmas from Ada Icon

Merry Christmas from Ada Icon. Here's the historic Ada depot with its "Don't Let The Light Go Out," banner. "It is Christmas every time you smile at your brother and offer him your hand," Mother Teresa.

Brian Jones of Jones Media, LLC, took these two photos of the Ada water tower at a level most people never see. Can you tell where NFL footballs are made by looking at the tower?

Miss Daniels Ada elementary 3rd grade class made Grinch Gloop with the help of high school science/biology teacher, Mrs. Bowden on Dec. 20.

The Grinch Gloop has properties of both a solid and a liquid. Christmas science fun.

Brian and Kelly Clum are purchasing the business from Rod and Linda Dysert

By Monty Siekerman
Rod and Linda Dysert have sold 3 Brothers Pizza, 105 S. Main, to Brian and Kelly Clum and will open Wednesday, Jan. 2, under the new name 3 Brothers Family Pizza. The Dyserts will continue to own and keep open the business until the new owners take over the first of the year.

By coincidence, the Dyserts have three sons, hence the name, and the Clums have three sons, so there is very little change in the business name.

The Ada Family Center will have a Sunday Christmas service at 10:30 a.m. The congregation, which meets at Center on Central, will have a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. on Monday.
