Alicia Gibson finds rewards in seeing patients' progress
The Vancrest employee spotlight shines on Alicia Gibson this month.
She is a member of the Vancrest therapy team, working with occupational therapy to assist residents to become as strong and safe at home as they can be.
She said that her passion is helping others and working with Vancrest patients in every way she can. "I enjoy getting to know our patients, and watch their progress as they move through their rehab stay at Vancrest," she added.
Alicia is an Ada High School and Rhodes State College graduate. She obtained here occupational therapy assistant degree from Rhodes.
He and her husband, Kenny, have a daughter, Alivia. She also has a son, Kelley, and he and his wife, Megan, are expecting Alicia’s first grandchild.
Alicia has worked in long-term care facilities for 11 years as an occupational therapy assistant prior to joining the staff at Vancrest.
What may surprise you about Alicia is that she attended preschool in Dunoon, Scotland, when her father served in the military. She’s lived in Ada since 1995.
