FROM GRIFFIN CHIROPRACTIC FACEBOOK__Griffin Chiropractic is opening at their new location on Tuesday, July 22 located directly beside Dollar General, at 4171 South Main St. (SR 235).

Dr. Beau J. Griffin is preceded by Dr. B.G Hawley (grandfather) and Dr. William B. Hawley (uncle) in 75 years of local chiropractic service.

We are very excited to provide care for current and new patients at our facility. We want to thank the community of Ada and many of the surrounding communities for supporting the family for the past eighteen years of Dr. Griffin and seventy-five years for the three generations of chiropractic care of having the privilege to provide.

JULY 22 MEDIA RELEASE__Rainfall totals across Hardin County in June 2025 varied. The current concern is the high humidity which is favorable for disease development. In agronomic crops, growers should be scouting for tar spot and gray leaf spot in corn and frogeye leaf spot in soybeans. Vegetable growers should be scouting for powdery mildew.

JULY 21 MEDIA RELEASE__Governor DeWine has announced the full membership of his newly-formed Property Tax Reform Working Group. The working group, informally announced during the Governor’s signing of House Bill 96 and associated line-item vetoes, is tasked with thoroughly examining issues related to how to provide meaningful property tax relief to homeowners and businesses while ensuring that funding for local schools, fire, police, EMS, libraries, and developmental disabilities is adequate.

July 2025 discussions concerning the future of on-street parking adjacent to the Ada-Liberty ambulance bay raised questions about communication with the community. 

Currently the Ambulance board has a Facebook page which is used very occasionally to provide information to the public. Minutes for public meetings are to be had for the asking. “Sunshine” laws require entities like the Ada-Liberty EMS board, Liberty Township Board and War Memorial Park board to take minutes and provide them upon request. 

Can the two existing communication channels be used to provide Ada residents with updates on public meeting dates and activities? The Ada Icon has invited these three Liberty Township entities to give it a try.

JULY 21 MEDIA RELEASE__During the Ohio Wildlife Council meeting on Wednesday, July 16, waterfowl hunting zones for the 2026-2030 seasons were amended in three counties following public comments on proposals submitted in April, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.
