“I’ve never pictured myself doing anything else,” shares Erica Shadley about choosing a career in teaching. Read on to hear this 5th grade teacher’s advice to her students and who she wants them to be in the classroom. Hint: themselves with open minds and a readiness to learn!

Matt is a survivor, having lost a foot and part of a leg to bone cancer when he was a high school student. Now a third year pharmacy student, Matt remains cancer free. He's beating cancer due to advances in diagnosing the disease and in prosthetics.

At ReStore on Tuesday, three ONU students talked about the next Relay for Life in Ada, encouraging more participation from the community. One of the students can attest to advances made in cancer research and treatment.

Midwest Rehab, 218 E. Highland, will have an open house on Thursday, Dec. 1, celebrating their 25th anniversary at their new, updated building.
Midwest offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy as well as home health services. The company also has facilities in Lima and Delphos.
The open house will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and from 4-6 p.m. with light refreshments and door prizes.

Ada’s Area Chamber of Commerce wants Ada residents to catch the holiday spirit.
From 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, there are plenty of opportunities to start thinking Christmas as Merry on Main launches the season in Ada.
Here’s the schedule:
• View the Christmas lights at the Depot park
• Visit Santa and his Reindeers at the Ada Public Library
• Listen to Chris Grey and friends singing carols up and down Main Street
• Then, stop by the Depot and pick up a ballot to vote for your favorite decorated downtown window. Drop off your ballot at the Depot anytime between 5 and 6:50 p.m.
