OCT 9 MEDIA RELEASE__The Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle in Jackson Township, Allen County. The crash occurred on Napoleon Road near State Route 81 at approximately 4:32 a.m. this morning. 

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling north on Napoleon Road when it struck a pedestrian who was in the northbound lane. The  Chevrolet Silverado was operated by Merl Hall, age 81, of Lafayette, Ohio. Mr. Hall was not injured in the crash.

The Ada Council held a regular meeting on the evening of October 7 with all members present and Mayor Dave Retterer presiding. The meeting packet is HERE.

A 20-minute executive session was held to discuss an employment item.

PUBLIC COMMENT
During the public comment portion of the meeting, three Ada residents were present and addressed Council. Five minutes are allowed for each person.

You Are My Sunshine was first released in 1939 and copyrighted in 1940, but the original writer of the lyrics is debated.  On March 14, 1941, Gene Autry debuted the song in his movie Back in the Saddle.  

The song has been covered over 300 times by famous singers such as Bing Crosby, Doris Day and Ray Charles. The song was even part of The Simpsons television show in 1997. The song is one of the official songs for the state of Louisiana.

The song is often sung by parents and grandparents to show affection to their children and grandchildren.  

OCT 7 MEDIA RELEASE__OhioHealth is excited to announce a significant $8.5 million renovation project for the operating suite at Hardin Memorial Hospital, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to enhancing healthcare access and quality for the Kenton community.

The renovation will feature cutting-edge surgical equipment and the modernization of two operating rooms. Additionally, the project will aesthetically enhance two other OR suites, one of which will serve as a future procedural room, while the other will function as sterile storage.
