Adult and student pre-sale football tickets for Friday nights season-opening football game against USV will be on sale tomorrow (Friday) in the high school office from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Pre-sale adult tickets are $5, student tickets are $4.

Wednesday, which was cooler and seemed like football weather, found Ada and Upper Scioto Valley midget footballers battling it out at War Memorial Stadium in Ada.  USV came out on top with four touchdowns to Ada's two.

KENTON - The Ada girls soccer team lost 10-2 at county rival Kenton Wednesday evening.

The Lady Bulldog record fell to 1-1 with the defeat, while the Wildcat girls improved to 3-0 with the win.

Kenton jumped out to a 6-0 lead at halftime and cruised to the victory.

"They dominated the first half," said Ada head coach Doug Poling.

"They shot 19 times while we were unable to get any shots on their goal.

"The second half we played much better, generating some offense," he noted.

ADA - The Ada boys soccer team was shut out 4-0 by visiting Hardin County rival Kenton Wednesday evening.

The defeat dropped the Bulldog record to 1-2 this season.

Bulldog junior keeper Drew Hadley made 16 saves in goal.

Ada plays at league foe Spencerville Saturday in the NWC opener at 11 a.m.

Ada and Bluffton Icon's new logos reflect that hometown feel

Times are changing. So are the Icon logos.

The Ada Icon and sister website, Bluffton Icon, this week introduce new logos to viewers. The logos unveiling is today.

The redesign project started in May and included several versions and fine-tuning.

"We wanted a uniquely Ada and Bluffton look and feel to our logos," said Fred Steiner of the Icon. "Changing logos isn't something you do overnight. It takes planning, studying other logos and a desire to make viewers feel at home on our websites. We think these new logos achieve that hometown feel."
