ST. MARYS - The visiting Ada tennis team lost a close 3-2 match at St. Marys Thursday evening.
The Bulldog netters fell to 4-6 overall with the tough defeat, while SM improved to 6-3 with the victory.
Ada senior Miranda Wills improved to 6-4 this season at first singles with a blowout double bagel win over Kameron Maclean.
"Miranda Wills expertly defeated Kameron Maclean in a mismatch as Kameron played first singles for the first time all year," said Ada head coach Dexter Woods.
Bulldog junior southpaw Dexter Woods III lost a tough match at number two singles to drop to 8-2 this spring.

ADA - Homestanding Ada was blindsided by an 11-run fourth inning en route to a 22-2 loss at the hands of Lima Central Catholic in non-conference softball action Thursday evening.
The Lady Bulldog record dropped to 8-6 with the defeat. The Thunderbirds improved to 7-6 with the lopsided victory.
LaFayette Jackson Historical Society will host its annual Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 31.
The parade will start at 9 a.m. with a ceremony following at the monument. Anyone wanting to enter in the parade lineup, contact Judi Badertscher at [email protected] or 419-643-4664.
Hardin County engineer's office informed the Icon that its bridge replacement project on County Road 60, between County Road 75 and Township Road 85 is completed. That stretch of road is now open to traffic.
