Ada schools roll out the red carpet for seniors - a tradition going back to 1992

Lots of photos below -
It's one of the community's most enjoyable holiday traditions.

This year's  27th annual Ada schools senior citizens Christmas luncheon drew an appreciative crowd of seniors and they filled the gym.

Each December since 1992 the Ada schools have treated area seniors to a turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, beans and pumpkin pie luncheon – okay the menu changes from time to time.

Meri Skilliter, Ada superintendent, greeted the guests. Servers were members of the varsity boys' and girls' basketball teams.

If Ada had a Christmas lights contest, this one would win. Volunteers dressed up the front of Ada schools during the Thanksgiving break and out-did themselves. In your next nighttime trip around town, check out the school lights.
