Ada Crunch soccer team undefeated in 1992

The Ada Crunch soccer team finished with a prefect 11-0 record thanks to a dominating final game 12-0 win over Riverdale’s Rangers.

Scoring for Ada: Justin Craig, three goals, two assists; Nate Ulrey, two goals and one assist; Jeff Keifer, Luke Dearth and Jeremy Parkins, two goals each: Shaun Hood, one goal, one assist; Jared Wolf, Matt Nichols and Garrett Birchfield with one assist each.

This is a young team, with nine out of the 14 players being first year U-12’s.

ONU gains top Ohio Athletic Conference volleyball honors

Senior McKenna Hostetler (Plain City/Alder) was named Ohio Athletic Conference Libero of the Year, headlining a list of five Ohio Northern volleyball players to receive All-Conference accolades, in voting conducted by the league's 10 coaches.

Senior All-American Chelsea Huppert (Bremen, Ind.) joined Hostetler as First Team honorees.

Seniors McKenna Jordan (Toledo/St. Ursula) and Sydney Bapst (Grove City) and freshman Madison Kern (Loveland/Mount Notre Dame) received Honorable Mention All-Conference honors.

Head coach Kate Witte was selected as OAC Coach of the Year.

Where else can you find an ONU polar bear dressed for the holidays than at New Leaf Landscape and Garden Center's Christmas open house. The garden center at 0395 State Rout 235 hosts the open house from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Ada Rotarians deliver books to students in Ada, Hardin Northern and Upper Scioto Valley

ˈdɪk·ʃəˌner·i/ – A book that lists words with their meanings given in the same or in another language, and often includes other information. Dictionaries contains a list of words in alphabetical order and explains their meanings, or gives a word for them in another language.

Each third grader in Ada, Hardin Northern and Upper Scioto Valley received a personal copy of this word book today thanks to the Ada Rotary Club. 

Ada third grade teachers are Sheri Burnett, Julie Stavenger and Brittany Daniels.

Life-long Hardin County agri-business participant

Ohio Northern University alumnae Madelyn Lowery, a life-long Hardin County resident, is one of  five inductees in this year’s Hardin County Agriculture Hall of Fame, according to Mark Badertscher of the extension office.

She joins Dean and Barbara Dulin, Fred Rarey and Mark Watkins in the 17th annual hall of fame recognition banquet, held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 3, at St. John’s Evangelical Church, Kenton.
