Ada's latest news

The regular Ada Council meeting of July 19 was held to conduct village business including the approval of minutes of the prior meeting and payment of bills.

Councilor Linda Mason was absent—and excused by the council. The next meeting will be rescheduled for August 9 because Mason and councilor Sheila Coressel will be working the polls on August 2. Add another expected absence and the original date would not have had the necessary number to conduct the meeting.

RESOLUTIONS
A single resolution was passed giving the mayor authorization to enter an engineering agreement for water meter replacement.

Work at 102 N. Johnson caught the eye of Icon photographer Marcie Mancuso, but has not crossed the desk of Zoning Inspector Michael Harnishfeger. The property is classified as a warehouse.

Ashley Wildermuth (Find A Ride transportation specialist) had a gentleman from Vaughnsville call into the agency stating that his wife had just gotten out of the hospital and was in desperate need of wheelchair transportation for the next day.

He was scrambling to find something as he had never been placed in this situation before as his wife was ambulatory and now is non-weight bearing and he is unable to transport her in their vehicle. After him making several phone calls to try to find transportation for his wife to the Cancer Center in Lima, he contacted Find A Ride.
