SPENCERVILLE __The visiting Ada High School volleyball team swept host Spencerville and Waynesfield in a non-league triangular match on Saturday, August 23.

The Bulldog girls improved to 3-0 with the sweep as both matches went the full three sets.

Ada defeated Waynesfield Goshen 25-14, 22-25, 25-11.

The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce celebrates its 9th annual Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival today, August 23, beginning at 5:00 p.m. in Depot Park. Two live bands, My Cousin Eddie and Trailer Park Ninjias, will set the party atmosphere. Food trucks and a beer tent will provide refreshments. Football themed activities and a Kidszone play area round out the festivities. The traditional Wilson football drop is at 10 p.m.

ADA __The Ada High School football team kicked off its 2025 season with a methodically dominant 28-6 win over visiting arch-rival Upper Scioto Valley at War Memorial Stadium on a 75-degree night Friday, August 22.

Ada scored 28 unanswered points behind a fine passing attack to overcome a 6-0 second period deficit, and rolled to victory with a 21-0 second half.
